Hello there! We are Robert and Tiffany Nava. We are so excited about LIFE!!! When Robert and I started this journey, we thought our marriage was OK and we thought our parenting was good, but we knew our finances were not so good. When we started diving into the system man did it change our LIVES!!!! We started to see that the number one thing in our life that was lacking was the faith "F". We were so hungry for that in our lives, that was the first thing we changed. Being around a group of people who had that piece worked out was SO refreshing for us. Then we quickly realized some of the other eight "F"s we needed work in. So we are proud to say we are a product of this system for sure!!! Our Marriage is better. We actually communicate now. Our parenting has improved; things we were so blind to in the past have totally changed. We have knocked out so much debt because of the Financial piece that the LIFE system teaches itself. Its Amazing!!! Looking back on when our Journey started and where we are today is Priceless, as well as, what we have been able to do and change through the LIFE system. We have four children that we now home school and are changing and making a difference in our whole family. We are so excited about having purpose now in our life and are so ready to leave a legacy for generations to come! LIFE is for everyone. Everything looks fuzzy...

Last night most of the analog channels shut off... leaving us the only option of DTV (I guess it's not an option if they don't give you a choice). But anyway, our kids woke up to fuzz where their cartoons once were. Our family decided not to get a converter box for two reasons.

First, the TV (a.k.a. the boob tube, idiot box, etc.) proves to be a HUGE distraction and time waster when you are in the process of chasing your dreams and working for a better future for your family.

We would turn it on when we got home from work, just to relax for a few moments, and before we knew it we had wasted an entire evening. There were several things, all more important, that could be done... but we chose to "veg" and allow the TV to control the events and more importantly our thoughts for the evening.

I can't count the nights that we didn't get this thing done, or that thing done because we simply lost track of time and it became too late. How many nights we didn't show the plan to someone because TV was more important.

The second reason was our kids. We were tired of having to monitor every single show they watched. Even if we set them down in front of Curious George, we found ourselves combating doctrines of environmentalism, humanism, and evolution! ON A CARTOON! Kids are smarter than we often give them credit for and they were soaking up the trash like sponges.

Also the timing was horrible... immediately after the final cartoon time slot came garbage like Family Guy. To a child, a cartoon is a cartoon. If it is animated, it must be for them. They don't know the difference and so when their cartoon ends, they pick up the remote and flip the channels until they come to the next cartoon. We had had enough.

If you are someone who chose to continue with the TV... I am not saying you made a poor decision, or even that you are in the wrong in any way... I am just saying please be careful. Don't allow your children to wander through the garbage... and don't allow it to take over your life.

Jasper Reunion Trip - Day 3, 4, & 5

OK... finally back online... since we got to the campsite... NO RECEPTION. This means no cell phones and no internet! I am seriously going through withdrawals. I had to break down and pay for a 24 hour wireless internet pass at the campground.... sucks! I mean... if I am paying so much for a cabin... so much for food... so much for snacks, games, etc.... you think you could comp me $5 for internet?!?!?!

(sorry... I'm rambling)

Anyway, we finally arrived Thursday evening at Jelly Stone Park where the actual reunion is being held. We were only the third party to arrive, but everyone else pulled in within a couple hours. Once people started showing, the never ending hug train began! :o) I seriously love my family... most people always have that one person in the family that they can't stand... or that one crazy uncle.... well.... I have several crazy uncles... but everyone else is great! :o)

Seriously, it is times like this that I am dang proud to be a Jasper! It is wonderful to have a family that is so close and cares so much for everyone else. To top it all off, a family that loves the LORD Jesus Christ above all else... that is something extremely special!

This is the first time in the history of our family that Grandma Jasper ("Oma") is together with all 12 of her great-grandchildren. We also have two more on the way!

We were able to throw her a surprise, early birthday party and were even visited by Yogi Bear himself! Most of the kids enjoyed it... a couple of them were terrified. Something about a 7 foot tall grizzly wearing a neck tie that just freaks 2 year-olds out! All of the kids and Oma had a chance to take a picture with him before he had to run back to his cabin to look for more picnic baskets.

After the party was over, we tried to cram 41 people into a not so large living room to watch the opening ceremony of the Olympics. Well, not all of us attended... there's just something about men wearing tights that gets to me... I mean... I still have nightmares about the family vacation to Las Vegas when we were forced to watch the trapeze act at Circus Circus.... not right! But all the sudden, you take the same feminine guy in the same tights... add a couple rings or a set of parallel bars.... and now he's an athlete! Not right. I told my wife... I don't care how good of shape I'm in or even how good I look.... if I EVER decide to wear even so much as bicycle shorts... you know how to use the .45!

Anyway, we hope to have a church service with the family tomorrow morning and some lunch, then it is off to California! Wish us luck!
